Guided snowshoeing in the Susa Valley is a unique opportunity to discover the mountains by taking relaxing walks in the snow.
You can choose from four different options.

Snowshoeing in Oulx

Introduction walk to snowshoeing, exploring the picturesque Oulx basin and the characteristic surrounding villages. In case snow is scarce, you will move a few kilometers by car to reach higher areas. You will move through pine and larch forests while all around you will be the striking Alps. The walk is about 6 kilometers long and is of easy difficulty.

Private Tour

The daily private walk is an opportunity to spend a relaxing day in fresh snow. The itinerary will be fully customizable together with the guide to try to best meet your every need.

Evening Tour

You will face a moderately challenging hike in the Thures Valley, with a route of about 10 km and an elevation gain of less than 400 meters. As well as enjoying the immersive experience of "forest bathing" in the winter forests. The walk will culminate with dinner at a typical mountain hut (not included in the price). The guide's dinner will be at your own expense.

Know the snow

This activity is based on the need to increase the awareness of anyone venturing into the snowy territories of the mountains.During the hike in the Thuras Valley, you will have the opportunity to learn the use of the ARTVA, an essential electronic tool for locating people involved in avalanches. You will also explore the use of a probe and shovel to conduct a simple snow stratigraphy, allowing you to understand the different layers of the snowpack. In between you will stop at a typical hut for lunch (not included in the price). The guide's lunch will be at your own expense.

We recommend layered snow clothing, hiking boots (no Moon Boot, no flat shoes), headgear, gloves, backpack to carry a dry change and any food and water.

Snowshoes and poles are included in the price, while ARTVA, shovel and probe are excluded. All necessary equipment is to be requested in advance from the facility.
