Sports driving course at the Livigno ice rink

Ice driving course in Livigno at the ice-drome, a driving track surrounded by snow and specially prepared on the outskirts of town.

The group course is for 2 people at a time + the instructor.
The individual course is only for one person + the instructor.

The collective course starts with a theoretical part of about 20 minutes by a qualified instructor from the Ice Drivng School, and then moves to driving alternating with the second participant of the group in periods of about 8/10 minutes each.

The cars used in the course are a Subaru Impreza and a Mitsubishi Lancer evo VIII / IX with studded tires specially prepared for the Livigno Ice Drome and ice driving.

Driving exercises include:

• Study of correct driving setup
• Correct hand and foot movement
• Use of the transmission and clutch
• Tires and their grip
• Analysis of car behavior
• Understeer and oversteer
• Load transfers
• Driving techniques specific to snow and ice
• Trajectories
• "Pendulum"
• Heel toe
• Use of the brake with the left foot
• Basic exercise the roundabout
• Braking with obstacles
• Performing various turns at different difficulties
• Exercises on the track with autoreverses
• Controlled skids

In case of temperature excursions the experience will be temporarily unavailable. A deductible of € 1,000 is required in case of damage caused by the student's negligence (Rates may be subject to change). Group courses are shared with other students.
