Horse Riding in Saint Pierre in the Aosta Valley

Horseback riding takes place in the town of Vetan Villette, in the heart of the Aosta Valley. The riding stables offer several routes that wind along the farm trails in the Vetan basin.

Walk of 1 hour and 15 minutes

During the walk, it will be possible to admire breathtaking views of the side valleys of Cogne, Valsavarenche, Rhemes and Valgrisenche.
Hike available daily.

Half-day walk

Also during this longer walk you will have the opportunity to explore the valleys of Cogne, Valsavarenche, Rhemes and Valgrisenche. A lunch break will also be provided.
Excursion available Monday through Saturday.

The riding stables have 12 horses, of different breeds, some mounted American-style and others English-style. Before setting off on the ride you will be shown the main commands for riding and explained how to behave with the horse.

The equestrian guide will accompany you throughout the ride, so do not hesitate to ask questions should you need them.

The cost of insurance is included in the price, but in order to make data collection possible, once you have made your reservation you will need to contact the manager to provide personal information (First Name, Last Name, date of birth, city and province of birth, residential address complete with ZIP code and province, social security number).

A few days before the walk the weather conditions, including temperatures and winds, will be checked. It will then be necessary to contact the facility to ensure the success of the hike.

The right clothing is essential, both for your comfort and for the welfare of the horses. Therefore, it is recommended that you wear:

•    sports clothes
•    long pants (dark color or jeans recommended)
•    sneakers (in winter, given the cold temperatures, hiking shoes or boots are strongly recommended. NO footwear such as after-ski boots as they prevent the foot from inserting into the stirrups)
•    windproof jacket
•    gloves, scarf and light cap (must be worn under the cap)
