Rafting on the Lao River in the Pollino National Park

Rafting on the Lao River in the Pollino National Park is an adventure full of adrenaline and fun, with an option to have lunch with friends. You can choose 3 different options:

3 hours
The excursion through the Lao Gorge is a fascinating experience that begins near the town of Laino Borgo. After a short 2-kilometer boat ride, you reach the entrance to the gorges, which you travel the entire distance of 14 kilometers.

Along the way you can admire an extraordinary natural spectacle, with very high rock walls that create a canyon of great beauty. You also encounter springs that feed the river and form beautiful waterfalls, including the Malomo Waterfall, the largest and most striking.

In the last kilometers, the landscape changes, the walls lower and you can find beaches and denser vegetation that accompany you to the end of the route. Upon arrival, at the second base of operations, you can take a refreshing shower and enjoy a cool drink or sandwich at our bar, or opt for a full lunch of local, zero-mile products at the restaurant. From here, you will be returned to base.

3 hours with lunch
Similar experience to the 3h route, but with a lunch full of local products included. Lunch consists of appetizer, first course, second course and fruit, and drinks included.

6 hours
The excursion is suitable for those who wish to have a more complete experience but without too much fatigue than the classic 16 km "Canyon" rafting. You start upstream from the town of Laino Borgo, in the locality of San Primo, and after traveling 4 km surrounded by lush vegetation, you reach the base camp for a lunch break, with the opportunity to taste typical local products.

After the break, you resume the route to explore the spectacular Lao Gorge, with its fascinating 16 km.
