What to do and see in Limone Piemonte

The one- or two-hour guided tours start from Limonetto and will take you to the heart of the Maritime Alps.

Snowmobiles, capable of accommodating up to 2 people, require a B driver's license to be driven.

The cost of the experience starts from 110€ per snowmobile (2 people).

In Limone Piemonte, you will have the opportunity to taste several dishes: veal in tuna sauce,langhinelfe, that is, potato dumplings served with butter and cheese, and la glara.

We recommend for a starry experience, the "Osteria Il Bagatto" restaurant, which offers traditional dishes with a modern twist. The price for the "Menù della Tradizione" starts from 55€ per person.

In addition, we suggest the'agriturismo "L'Agrifoglio", which offers both typical cuisine from the house mixed polenta to bunet, but not only that. In fact, you can stay surrounded by nature in one of their rooms. The tasting menù starts from 37€ per person.

In the summertime, we recommend venturing along the Via del Sale, a ex-military white road that connects the Piedmont and French Alps to the Ligurian Sea. You can travel it on foot or by MTB, for a fee of1€ per person.

While, for those who want to travel it by motorcycle or car, it will be necessary to make the booking. 

Finally, we recommend, for the more experienced, a path by MTB of 112km, starting from Limone Piemonte and arriving in Ventimiglia. 

You can choose between a longer full-day hike, lasting 6 hours, or a shorter half-day version, about 3 hours.

The destination of the snowshoe hike will be decided by the guide a week in advance, depending on weather and snow conditions.The easiest destinations include: Forts of Colle di Tenda and the centuries-old forest of Faggi in Palanfrè.

The cost of the experience starts from 180€ per group. Snowshoes and poles can be rented on site at a cost of 10€ for groups of at least 4 people.

Limone Piemonte è an alpine village, ideal for a pleasant walk. Beginning atVia Roma, the main street, you reach the Piazza del Municipio, where the town hall faces.

Among the places of interest we recommend the Fountain of Water Lilies and the historic Church of San Pietro in Vincoli, a 13th-century building.

Finally, you can visit the Ski Museum, open year-round, which celebrates the local skiing tradition

In Limone Piemonte there are two cross-country ski trails, adrenaline-filled off-piste skiing and, as new this season, a snowpark.  È you can choose from various types of ski passes, with prices starting from 30€ per person.

Not far from the center, you can enjoy enjoying a snowshoe hike, along the streams in the area.

Finally, during winter, the outdoor ice skating rink in Limone Piemonte offers a perfect alternative for non-skiers, suitable for both adults and children.

We offer you an excursion to Nice, France, 1 1/2 hours from Limone Piemonte. You can take the train to Ventimiglia and from there; continue to the French territory.

We recommend visiting the Old Town of Nice,Promenade des Anglais, the vintage markets and the Cathedral of Sainte-Réparate. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to see the city from above, from the Hills du Château. On these hills you will be able to visit a waterfall 

The Chalet "La Grogia" è the destination to have a'culinary experience, but not only. In fact, you can take a snowcat excursion to reach the chalet.

In addition, we recommend a fat bike or snowshoe trail, starting from Panice Sottana (cross-country trail area), lasting about 30 minutes and 1.5 km long, to reach the chalet.

Finally, the restaurant offers a wide variety of proposals: from polenta to ravioli al plin, to fondue with fojot.
