Lunch at the Mont Blanc Refuge in Courmayeur
The Mont Blanc Refuge, at the foot of the massif of the same name, is located at 1700 m asl in Courmayeur, Aosta Valley. It was opened in 1953 and has also provided winter opening since 1971.
The refuge's cuisine offers traditional dishes, prepared with ingredients from local suppliers. Here you can enjoy local flavors while admiring the mountain panorama that includes peaks from the Grandes Jorasses to the Pyramides Calcaires.
The establishment gives a choice of two menus, including water and coffee.

In winter, the hut can be reached on skis or on foot, with snowshoes, with a walk of about 45 minutes. You can also use the ski lifts, especially the Peindent chairlift, which are open until 4:30 pm. In summer, in addition to the chairlift or on foot, it is possible to reach the hut by car or bicycle.
