Catamaran day in Tavolara and Molara from Olbia

The daily catamaran excursion to Tavolara and Molara departing from Olbia allows you to experience a relaxing and fun time exploring two well-known Sardinian islands.

While sailing to Tavolara you may also spot dolphins that are searching for food in these areas.

When you arrive in Tavolara you will make a stop of just over an hour that will allow you to dive into the crystal clear waters and visit the island and its beaches, where you will be enchanted to discover the stories related to the "King of Tavolara" .

Tavolara is an island that juts out of the sea like a granite colossus dotted with Mediterranean greenery that gives its name to the marine protected area around it. The island is known as the world's smallest kingdom.

The elongated, almost flat-shaped island is the centerpiece as well as the defining symbol of an unforgettable spectacle: the Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo marine protected area, which stretches 76 kilometers along the coast .

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a rich aperitif with typical Sardinian products accompanied by local vermentino wine.

You will then sail to Molara, making another bathroom stop.

A lunch break is planned in the Tavolara Pools area. You will have lunch on board floating on the turquoise sea.

On the return sail, weather permitting, the skipper will choose another cove to take one last swim from your choice of the wonderful bays of Porto Istana, Cala Girgolu , the three sisters of Capo Ceraso or Cala Moresca.

The relaxing sail back will be dedicated to the search for dolphins, whose sighting is not guaranteed, however.

In case of food allergies and intolerances, it is possible to contact the facility after booking.

FAQs for Experiences in Sardinia

How much does a boat excursion cost?

The price of a boat excursion may vary depending on the period, type of boat, and whether or not there is an aperitif/lunch/dinner. Excursions on our website range between 30€ and 130€ per person. In addition, if the excursion includes the boat exclusively, the price per person is spread among the participants, so it will be less the more people until the capacity is reached.

What to bring for a boat excursion?

We suggest bringing along all sun protection equipment. If the excursion does not include lunch/aperitif, you are usually allowed to bring a packed lunch. For more specific questions, you can always contact the skipper once you receive the booking confirmation email where you can find his contact information.

Will other people be present during the boat tour?

In case the tour is "Of Group" the boat tour does not provide exclusivity, so there is a possibility of other people joining; in case the client requests the "Private" tour the boat is kept exclusive, for a slightly higher price.
