How to get to the Pian del Tivano

The Pian del Tivano includes the municipalities of Nesso, Zelbio and Sormano. 

To get from Milan you can take the SS36 of Lake Como and Spluga until Annone Brianza, between the provinces of Como and Lecco.

From here, you can continue to the north to Sormano. You will have to pass through several small villages so our advice è to set your navigator to avoid getting stuck between various one-way directions.

From Sormano, the paved road climbs until it passes the Colma and arrives at Pian del Tivano.

Considering that Pian del Tivano is located at a rather low altitude, it is not every year è possible to open cross-country ski trails, even considering that there is no artificial snowmaking system.

When però the winter season offers plenty of snow, the Pian del Tivano cross-country ski trail è a ring of about 5 kilometers that runs along the entire plateau and allows you to enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains.

To get information on the status of the slope, the’only way è to contact the Sci Club Sormano, which also runs the ski rental center and sells the ticket to access the slope.
