Rifugio Azzoni is a cozy facility located on the summit of Resegone, an iconic mountain in the heart of the province of Lecco, at an altitude of 1,860 meters.

Its panoramic location offers spectacular views of a large portion of the Alps. From the summit, it is possible, moreover, to admire the city of Lecco and the picturesque pre-Alpine lakes, including Lake Como.

In addition to hiking, Rifugio Azzoni is a starting point for climbing and mountaineering enthusiasts, with via ferrata routes suitable for all levels of experience.

In addition, the facility offers overnight accommodations in shared rooms with 18 beds.

In addition, Rifugio Bogani is known for the production of typical products from Alpe Moncodeno, including high-quality cheeses. The kitchen also offers several traditional dishes from the area.

The Victory Hut offers overnight accommodations with 5 beds, dining space for 80 people and outdoor tables for 120 people. It is, in addition, easily accessible by car.

Rifugio Buzzoni, managed by CAI sez. Introbio, is located at an altitude of 1,590 meters on Alpe Mota, in the municipality of Introbio.

The facility is open year-round on weekends and holidays. The cuisine is based on traditional mountain fare, with a focus on local products.

Rifugio Buzzoni has 25 beds, a dining area for 40 people and outdoor space for another 30 people.

Rifugio Rosalba is located in an extraordinarily scenic location on a natural knoll at the base of the famous Segantini Ridge, at an elevation of 1,730 meters.

It can be reached from the Piani dei Resinelli via the Via delle Foppe (trail marker 9, just over 2 hours) or via the more challenging and wilder "Direttissima" (trail markers 8 and 8/a, about 3 hours), which passes through the Carlo Porta Hut.

The facility has 46 beds and can accommodate up to 38 people for meals.

Rifugio Rocca Locatelli is located at the foot of the majestic Grigna, at an altitude of 1,280 meters. Its prime location makes it easily accessible both on foot and by car.

Families will find here many opportunities for not too strenuous walks, suitable even for children, allowing everyone to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. In addition, the Adventure Park and the Mines Park are located in the vicinity of the hut.

For experienced climbers, Rifugio Rocca Locatelli is a convenient foothold to reach the more challenging trails leading to the Grigna.

During the winter period, the facility does not offer overnight service, but during the summer it is possible to book rooms to spend a few days among the alpine peaks (24 beds are available). There is, in addition, a dining room that can accommodate up to 100 people, offering excellent cuisine at affordable prices.

7. Bietti-Buzzi Refuge

The Bietti-Buzzi Refuge, owned by CAI Grigne of Mandello del Lario at an altitude of 1,719 meters, has recently been restored and offers an ideal base for various hikes, including the ascent to Grignone.

Near the refuge are some of the most famous and historic climbing routes in the area, such as those of Sasso Cavallo and Sasso dei Carbonari.

The facility is known for its excellent home cooking and delicious desserts. It offers, in addition, 25 beds and table space for 40 people indoors.

8. Carlo Porta Refuge

Rifugio Carlo Porta is a historic building built by CAI Milano in 1911, which retains all the charm of structures from the turn of the century. Located at an altitude of 1,426 meters, it enjoys a strategic location for ascents in the Grignetta and for the famous climbing walls located nearby.

The hut is open year-round and is ideal for a family lunch, a different night out with the possibility of staying overnight, or simply relaxing with a beer after a climb.

The lodge sleeps 50 and can accommodate up to 80 people for indoor meals, with an additional 25 outdoor seats.

9. Madonna della Neve Refuge

Rifugio Madonna della Ne ve is a cozy lodge located in the heart of Val Biandino, in the municipality of Introbio, in the province of Lecco, at an altitude of 1,595 meters.

The refuge reopened in the summer of 2019 with a completely renovated structure and new management. It offers 24 beds and can accommodate up to 38 people for indoor meals, with an additional 20 outdoor seats.

10. Stoppani Shelter

Rifugio Stoppani is located on the slopes of Resegone Mountain and is a welcoming stop for mountain lovers at an altitude of 890 meters.

Its location makes it ideal as a starting point for climbing the mountain, but also as a destination for pleasant walks in the countryside or a base for climbing, via ferrata and long hiking routes in the Lecco Prealps. It has, in addition, 22 beds, 70 indoor dining places and 12 outdoor places.
