Tita Secchi Refuge
The Tita Secchi Refuge, at 2367 meters above sea level, is located near Lake of the Cow, a natural lake transformed into a reservoir in the early 1900s.
It can beaccessed from Bazena in about 3 hours and 600 meters of elevation gain, from Malga Cadino in about 2 hours and 500 meters of elevation gain, or from Gaver in two hours and 860 meters of elevation gain. The effort it takes to reach it is repaid by the beautiful views it offers, and if we then add a lunch that can be enjoyed at the refuge, then it is one of the most beautiful hikes to do in Val Camonica.
Don't miss the dishes with polenta and homemade cakes, such as sbrisolona and panna cotta.

Rifugio Tita Secchi
Tonolini Refuge
In the Sonico area, here is the Tonolini refuge located in the magnificent Conca del Baitone, at 2450 meters within the Adamello Park and near Lake Rotondo.
It is a traditional family-run mountain hut, accessible from Malga Premassone in about 2H30 and 850 meters of elevation gain, or from Gnuti h ut in about 1H30 and 400 meters of elevation gain.
The refuge offers food service with typical Val Camonica dishes, simple, well-maintained cuisine, and all homemade desserts!

Tonolini Refuge
Malga Stain Refuge
The Malga Stain refuge is among the easiest refuges to reach and is located in the municipality of Edolo, at an altitude of 1832m. The refuge is located at the top of Monte Colmo, in one of the wildest areas of the Adamello Park, in the integral reserve of Val Gallinera and Val Rabbia.
It is reached by an easy walk of 45 minutes and 250 meters of elevation gain from the last parking area in the locality of Preda, and it offers the possibility for mountaineers and hikers to penetrate through different paths in an incredible naturalistic environment.
The Malga Stain refuge is also the starting or finishing point of Trail No. 1 - Alta Via dell'Adamello, the main hiking route in the Adamello Park. Excellent cuisine, with traditional local dishes.

Malga Stain
Baitone Refuge
It is located near the dam that forms the Baitone artificial lake, at 2188 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Sonico, once owned by Enel.
The Baitone hut can be reached from Ponte del Guat in about 1H30 and 750 meters of elevation gain, or from Malga Premassore in 1H30 and 700 meters of elevation gain.
Here you can enjoy typical cuisine, with a preference for game, casoncelli, breads, traditional cold cuts and cheeses from local producers, tarts and cakes made in the hut. With a little luck, you can spot ibex climbing the dam walls. Don't forget your camera!

Rifugio Baitone
Valmalza Refuge
Located in Alta Valcamonica at an altitude of 1998 meters in Valle delle Messi, in the municipality of Ponte di Legno. It is reached by following a path that starts near the Santa Apolonia locality with CAI 158 trail in about 1H30 and 420 meters of elevation gain.
The craft beer is excellent, as is the cheese board and pizzoccheri!
The hut offers three overnight rooms with 19 beds.

Rifugio Maria and Franco
It is the highest mountain hut in Val Camonica, located at an elevation of 2574 meters, in a panoramic position over the extraordinary peaks of Adamello, Carè Alto, Tredemus, Re di Castello, and Val di Dois until even glimpsing Lake Iseo.
To reach the starting point you must drive up from Ceto to Case di Val Paghera on a narrow, bumpy road. From here take trail number 37, which in 4H30 and 1250 meters of elevation gain reaches the refuge.
Awaiting you, in addition to a panorama of mountains more than 3000 meters high, is genuine and traditional cuisine.

Rifugio Maria and Franco
Laeng Refuge
Dominated by the rocky walls of the Pizzo Camino and cima Moren group, the Laeng refuge is surrounded by a beautiful forest at 1760 meters.
The refuge is run by volunteers from Operation Mato Grosso, who donate all proceeds to their missions in Latin America.
It can only be reached on foot from Borno with a 2H30 hike and 700 meters elevation gain, or from Villa di Lozio in 2H15 and 800 meters elevation gain.

Premassone Refuge
For the "driving to refuge" theme , here is the Premassone refuge located at 1585 meters above sea level in Val Malga, a side valley of Valle Camonica, in the territory of the municipality of Sonico.
You can get to the refuge directly by car (parking fee) but if you wish, you can leave your car near the Ponte del Guat parking lot and then continue with an easy 20-minute walk.
The refuge is the starting or arrival point for those reaching the shelters located higher up (Gnutti, Baitone and the Tonolini). The cuisine is genuine with truly delicious dishes.
