The gardens of Villa Melzi are a must for those passing through Bellagio in the summertime.

You can take a tour on your own by purchasing an entrance ticket at a cost of 10€ per person for adults and free for children under 11.

For those who want to learn more, it is possible to book a guided tour, with the cost depending on the number of participants.

2. Sailing tour with aperitif

This sailing tour starts from Bellagio, is a private skippered excursion for up to 11 participants.

You can choose from several tours depending on duration and price, which starts from 100€ per person. The price always also includes an aperitif with scones, pizzas, chips and pistachios.

During the boat tour one can be participatory in sailing activities or just relax and lie on the deck. One can also stop for a swim if required.

If, instead of a sailboat, you prefer a motor boat, a speedboat tour may be for you

3. The Spartivento Point

Super recommended is Punta Spartivento, which as you can guess from the name, is the northernmost point of Bellagio where the separation between the 2 branches of Lake Como begins.

Once you arrive at this area, you can relax on the benches under the shade of the trees in the Parchetto della Punta and enjoy the 360-degree view

4. Visit to the Villa Serbelloni Park

A visit to the Villa Serbelloni Park offers a unique view of the lake with paths through the greenery perfect for disconnecting from the city.

Access to the park is allowed only by guided tours lasting 90 minutes. The cost is 10€ for adults, 5€ for children ages 7-13 and free for children under 6.

The park is open from early April to late October from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday

5. Helicopter Tour over Bellagio

Explore the beauty of Lake Como with a helicopter ride over Bellagio and Cernobbio.

The cost starts from €200 per person and a maximum of 5 people can participate. The duration of the flight is about 20 minutes and you can choose from 2 options, a morning tour and an afternoon tour.

The helicopter tour starts from the helipad in Como where you will get up in the air, heading towards Bellagio

6. The Village of Pescallo

The village of Pescallo is a hamlet of Bellagio overlooking the eastern branch of Lake Como.

From the historic center of Bellagio it is a 10-minute walk to the small port of Pescallo thanks to the scalotta per Pescallo, which is a stone-walled path reminiscent of an ancient Roman road.

Once you get to the little beach you can dip your feet in the lake and relax in this small village that seems to be completely immersed in another era

7. Lake Como e-bike tour

This bike tour starts from Tremezzo or Menaggio, which can be reached by ferry from Bellagio. This activity has departure in the morning and return in the afternoon, for a total ride of about 65km.

The tour includes E-MTB rental, private guide, return transportation to Cadenabbia, Menaggio or Bellagio. The cost starts from 110€ per person and depends on the number of participants (maximum 10 people).

If requested, a food and wine tasting at Cantina Sorsasso can be included

8. Lunch on the lake

Bellagio offers many restaurants, we recommend, for example, Bilacus Restaurant, located in the historic center, and Bstyle Bellagio, a place where wine, food and fashion meet.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for a fine dining restaurant, we recommend the Salice Blu Restaurant, where you can experience high quality cuisine and family hospitality, and the starred restaurant Mistral, located inside the Villa Serbelloni.

For lovers of good wine, we suggest 2 wine bars: Aperitivo et al and Cava Turacciolo, both located in the center of Bellagio

9. Kayak tour from Bellagio

This kayak tour departs from Pescallo Harbor and will have you circumnavigate the Bellagio Peninsula. At the end of the tour you will be treated to an aperitif.

The outing is preceded by a 10-minute briefing in which you will be given all the information you need to enter the water.

The duration of the tour is about 1 hour and 30 minutes and you can choose between the morning tour and the sunset tour. The cost starts from 65€ per person and you can participate in 2 people per kayak

10. The ancient hamlet of Loppia

The hamlet of Loppia faces the western shore of Lake Como, next to Villa Melzi.

With a walk of about 20 minutes, skirting the gardens of Villa Melzi, it is possible to arrive at the municipal port of Loppia next to which is the Ristorante alle Darsene di Loppia, which we recommend for its excellent dishes of both sea and land.

Also, continuing 50 meters beyond the harbor, you can find a flight of steps. Going up, in addition to an elevated view of the lake, you can see in the distance Villa Giulia, located on the other side of the Bellagio peninsula

11. Ferry to Varenna and Menaggio

To enrich your visit to Lake Como, you can opt for a visit to Varenna and Menaggio. In fact, several ferries depart from the port of Bellagio every day to take you to the other shores of the lake.

Round-trip tickets to a specific destination cost about 10€ for adults and 5€ for children for the ferry without intermediate stops.

It is, however, also possible to purchase a 1-day free-ride ticket to board and disembark freely from the ferries that travel this route. The cost is about 15€ for adults and 7.50€ for children

12. Trekking on Mount San Primo

Among the various mountains in Lombardy around Bellagio, Monte San Primo stands out.

The most famous access is from the Colma di Sormano, but it is also possible to climb the mountain from Bellagio, starting from the hamlet of San Giovanni.

Once at the top, we recommend the Rifugio Martina open on weekends for typical mountain lunches and dinners
