1. San Giorgio di Valpolicella

San Giorgio di Valpolicella is considered one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Valpolicella with its stone houses and surrounded by olive trees and vineyards.

At the center of the village is the Pieve di San Giorgio Martire, a Romanesque church dating from the 8th century AD. The complex also features a bell tower, a well and a cloister that we recommend visiting.

The Pieve can be visited daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (summer hours) and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (winter hours) excluding Mass times

2. Negrar di Valpolicella

If you are in Valpolicella, we recommend, a visit to Villa Mosconi Bertani, a neoclassical estate that offers winery tours and tastings from €24 per person.

Another worthy option is the Pojega Garden open to the public from April to October every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. visitable by purchasing a ticket for €8.50 for adults and €6 for children under 12.

Finally, we also recommend a walk through the vineyard, visit to the winery and tasting accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses. You can choose from 3 different tours that start from 20€ per person

3. San Pietro in Cariano

San Pietro in Cariano, of all the towns in Valpolicella, is home to the largest number of period villas.

We recommend, for example, Villa Marchesi Fumanelli, where it is possible to take winery tours and tastings, Villa Giona and Villa Betteloni, where you can also stay.

If you are looking for a different way to visit the landscape, we recommend a horseback ride through the hills suitable even for those who have never ridden a horse before. The price starts from 40€ per person and varies depending on the duration

4. Fumane

In Fumane, you cannot miss a visit to the Villa della Torre. In this wonderful location you can take a guided tour of the villa with wine tasting or a walk through the vineyard.

Also, to admire the views outside the town, you can book a quad bike tour for groups of 2 to 14 people. The price starts from 65€ per person and depends on the length of the tour you choose

5. St. Anna D'Alfaedo

In Sant'Anna D'Alfaedo, if you are a nature lover, you can find the Ponte di Veja, which can be reached very easily by car and can always be visited.

For history lovers, we recommend a stop at Forte Tesoro, a military structure dating back to the early 1900s and recently renovated. You can visit the fort every Sunday by booking online.

Finally, if you prefer a relaxing vacation, we recommend a Vespa wine and food tour that departs from Lake Garda. The price starts from 100€ per person and includes Vespa rental, lunch and tasting

6. Molina

Molina's main attraction is the Waterfall Park, in which we recommend a hike. The park is open from March to November, and access to the area requires a ticket of 8€ for adults and 5€ for children up to 12 years old.

We also recommend a visit to the medieval village of Molina as it is well worth it for its stone streets where time seems to stand still.

Finally, Molina is characterized by the presence of several mills, from which it takes its name. The most important are the Mulin de Lorenzo and the Mulino dei Veraghi both of which can be visited for groups by reservation

7. Dolcè

Dolcè offers several possibilities: some nature trails on the Adige River, vineyards and vineyards, and also forts dating back to the period of Austrian rule.

The most important forts are Fort Ceraino and Fort Monte. Both to this day can be visited externally and reached by simple trekking.

In addition, Dolcè is home to the original Albino Armani estate, one of the most important wineries in Valpolicella. It is possible to take a winery tour and tasting starting from 35€ per person

8. Marano di Valpolicella

On the top of Castelon Mountain is the Church of Santa Maria di Valverde, which offers a unique view of the vineyards.

Also located in Marano di Valpolicella is the second location of the Albino Armani winery where it is possible to take a tour of the winery with tasting or a picnic preceded by a walk through the vineyards.

The picnic is priced at 44€ per person for adults and 20€ per person for children and includes a box of cold cuts, excellent cheeses and wines for tasting

9. Pescantina

Pescantina lies on the banks of the Adige River, which has been of historical significance for the development of the town.

It is precisely because of its proximity to the river that Pescantina is famous for its thermal parks where thermal water flows naturally.

For example, we recommend Aquardens, which offers several thermal water pools, and Villa Quaranta, a 16th-century hotel with a thermal park and spa inside

10. Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella

If you are passing through Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, we recommend a visit to the Serego Alighieri estate.

It is said to be the estate with the longest historical, cultural and winemaking tradition in Valpolicella since it has been in operation since 1353 and is directly descended from the family of the Supreme Poet Dante.

In this place rich in history, it is possible to take a tour of the winery, a walk through the vineyards and a local wine tasting from 30€ per person. In addition, it is also possible to stay in the rooms on the premises

11. Verona

To conclude the tour of the most beautiful locations in Valpolicella, we could not fail to mention Verona.

In fact, we recommend walking through the city via Piazza delle Erbe, next to the Arena, by Juliet's Balcony and along the Adige River.

Finally, right from Verona, you can set off on an e-bike tour to Valpolicella. The price starts at €95 per person and includes rental, guide and a wine and Amarone tasting
