1. The historic center of Asti

The city of Asti carries with it centuries of history, and it is possible to understand its richness by observing its historic center.

In fact, we suggest that you follow theroute of the towers, which will take you to discover the city's most important historic towers. To date, about a dozen remain standing, of which the most important are surely Torre Troyana and Torre Comentina.

While, among the various historic buildings in the center, we recommend a visit to Palazzo Alfieri, which can be visited daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm with a ticket of 10€ per person for adults and 8€ per person for under 18s

2. Infernot wineries in Cella Monte with tasting

This experience includes a visit to Infernot wineries in Monferrato in Cella Monte, one of Italy's most beautiful villages since 2018.

The winery visit will then be followed by a tasting of 4 wines accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses.

The cost starts at €25 per person for those who taste, while those who do not taste pay €5 per person. Reservations can be made for groups of up to 15 people

3. The Marchesi Alfieri estate

In San Martino Alfieri, you will find a location that is nothing short of spectacular: the Marchesi Alfieri Estate.

4. The village of Casale Monferrato

Casale Monferrato is considered the capital of Monferrato, and given its strategic location, it is a popular stop for many during trips to the region's wine-growing area.

It is home to several historically important monuments and structures including the Cathedral of St. Evasius and the Civic Tower of St. Stephen.

If you make a stop in this town, we recommend a visit to the Gozani Di Treville Palace, one of the most prestigious examples of an 18th-century noble residence

5. Razzano Castle with winery tour and tasting

Razzano Castle houses the Wine Museum inside, which offers a fascinating journey through the history and production of wine in the region and Monferrato.

When you book this experience, after visiting the museum, you will have the opportunity to explore the castle's aging cellars and have a tasting accompanied by a platter of cured meats and cheeses.

The price is €20 per person and reservations can be made for groups of up to 10 people

6. The village of Tagliolo Monferrato

The main attraction of Tagliolo Monferrato is its castle. A very well-preserved medieval structure, so well preserved that it is a wedding venue.

Inside this castle it is also possible to stay overnight by booking online for a cost that starts from about 170€ per night.

In addition, it is possible to visit the castle's cellars that contain some of the area's excellent wines and the village within the castle walls

7. Ozzano Monferrato on horseback

Ozzano Monferrato, a stone's throw from Casale Monferrato, is a small town situated on the tip of a hill and offering beautiful views of vineyards.

To visit this area you can book a horseback ride that will allow you to enjoy the view while living a totally new experience.

The duration of the outing is 1 hour and is preceded by a 30-minute lesson in which the basic rules for being in the saddle will be explained to you. The cost is 40€ per person and you can participate from 18 years of age

8. Alto Monferrato by e-bike

To visit the Alto Monferrato area, we recommend you rent an e-bike and enjoy the scenery!

This activity is suitable for everyone, for groups up to 30 people. You can choose between half-day or full-day rental and the cost starts from 40€ per person.

A guide is not included and this will allow you to follow the route and speed you prefer. A child seat can be added at a cost of 5€

9. Gabiano Castle

Gabiano Castle is one of the largest in the Monferrato region and, thanks to its elevated position, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards.

It is also possible to stay in luxury suites that combine medieval style with modernity.

It is also possible to visit the castle cellars and taste the wines they produce. In addition, there is an agritourism to taste traditional dishes accompanied, of course, by local wines

10. Vineyards near Conzano with quad bike excursion

Conzano is a small village between Cella Monte and Alessandria, and aquad bike excursion starts from here that will allow you to enjoy the views and traverse the vineyards in a new way.

You can choose between 2 options: a simple excursion or an excursion with a winery visit. The price starts from 60€ per person and includes a guide who will accompany you the whole way.

11. Canelli and truffle hunting

Another typical Monferrato activity is truffle hunting, and in Canelli you can try it firsthand!

This experience also includes a truffle tasting that follows the outing in the woods with the hunting dog.

12. The Bersano Museums

For history buffs, a stop at the Bersano Museums is a must on the itinerary.

  • the Farmers' Museum collects tools used in wine production, such as vine presses dating back to the 1600s.
  • the Collection of Wine Prints showcases some of the most beautiful and ancient prints, drawings, paintings, engravings and rare books related to the world of wine.

13. Cereseto Castle with circular trekking

Cereseto Castle, despite its ancient appearance, was built in the early 1900s and, for this reason, is extremely well preserved.

Unfortunately, the interior cannot be visited, and being wedged in the center of the village, the castle reaches its full splendor when seen from a distance.

Precisely for this reason, we recommend an easy circular trek suitable for everyone that will allow you to observe the castle at 360° while admiring its grandeur
