The best beaches of Tavolara and how to get there

The largest beach present on Tavolara Island è the Spalmatore di Terra Beach, located in the only non-mountainous area of the island.

The Spiaggia del Passetto turns out to be a strip of land bathed by the sea on both sides and connects the rest of Tavolara Island to Punta Spalmatore.

Also no facilities and è reached by a short walk to the end of Spalmatore di Terra Beach.

The Porto Istana Beach is located in front of the'Island of Tavolara and can be reached by land by car or bus conveniently from Olbia or San Teodoro.

È almost 1km long, it has very fine sand and crystal clear water. There are also several facilities on the beach such as bar and restaurants, making it a perfect beach for families with children as well.

È a rather tight beach, so we recommend arriving early in the morning to find room both at the parking lot and on the beach.

The Doctor's Beach è a small cove next to Porto Istana Beach, opposite the'Island of Tavolara, in the Northern Sardinia.

It has fine white sand, crystal clear water, but è can be reached by land only by a trekking of about 30 minutes. For this reason and the lack of facilities, è not recommended for families with young children.

For those who still want to visit without doing the walking trail, the beach è can also be reached by sea.

Cala Ghjlgolu (or Cala Girgolu) è a sandy beach located in the northeast of Sardinia, opposite the'Island of Tavolara, between Porto San Paolo and San Teodoro.

In addition to the main beach, the same name is also used to refer to a number of coves located along the east coast of the beach, including the famous Turtle Beach.
