If you are in this small town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2017, you should definitely take a walk through its historic center.

To make this task less arduous for you, a walking tour has been designed that you can follow on your own or with a guide who will show you the most important places within the walls.

Capuchin Beach is one of the beaches around Peschiera where swimming is possible.

This beach, unlike others, also has a lido, open from April to November, where it is possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas so as not to rest directly on the stones.

The lido also has a bar and restaurant for enjoying the day at the beach in total serenity

5. The Braccobaldo Bau Beach

We recommend this beach for a specific reason: if you have 4-legged friends, this is the place you need to go.

A pet friendly beach where you will feel totally comfortable, surrounded by other families with dogs.

Arriving at the beach you will find a dog bed, a water bowl and dog shower service

6. The middle channel

Perhaps the most famous location in all of Peschiera is the Middle Canal.

There are 2 bridges that cross this canal: The Cordigero Avenue Bridge and the Voltoni Bridge. From both of these bridges you can have a beautiful view of the center of the town and the lake that surrounds it

7. Porta Brescia and Porta Verona

The only way to access the center of Peschiera is to cross the bridges outside the walls and pass through the ancient city gates.

The gate facing west is called Porta Brescia and is an integral part of the walls that line the center of the ciity.

While the gate facing east is called Porta Verona, built around 1500 and then destroyed by Napoleon, now rebuilt in the likeness of the original

8. The Mazzini Lakeside

If you want to take a walk along the lake, we recommend the Mazzini Lakeside promenade.

A 700-meter walk west of downtown, it will offer you a magnificent view of the lake.

Once you get to the end, you can continue your tour by walking along the beaches, passing by the Lido Cappuccini and up to Braccobaldo Bau beach, thus covering almost 3 km

The cost starts from 30€ per person and the duration is about 2 hours starting from the Mincio River and going up to Peschiera. The presence of the instructor makes the tour suitable for everyone

In Peschiera you will also be able to rent a bicycle to enjoy the view in an alternative way.

11. The Shrine of Our Lady of the Ash Tree

A few kilometers away from the center of Peschiera del Garda is the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Frassino, built in the early 1500s.

This place is particularly important because of theapparition of the Madonna on May 11, 1510. Indeed, in the center of the church is the original ash tree on which is placed the miraculous statuette of the Madonna and Child.

To this day, this place, is visited by thousands of pilgrims and can be visited daily from 7 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m
