The 15 best lunches in a mountain hut in Trentino

The snowmobile tour in Misurina è the perfect winter experience to discover the Veneto Dolomites area. It is a true snow safari!

The experience includes a 20-kilometer hike starting from Lake Antorno to the Three Peaks of Lavaredo at the Auronzo Refuge. During the journey you can admire the snow-capped mountains, and once you get to the foot of the Three Peaks you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley. 

Lunch will be at 12:00 then, depending on the time you book (9:00 or 15:30), it will be after or before departure, at Chalet Lago Antorno, where you can enjoy: 

• Antipasto of local meats and cheeses.
• Single dish with shinbone, sausage, melted cheese, polenta and mushrooms 
• House dessert
• Wine, water and coffeeè.

During the whole experience you will have to follow the guide, which will indicate the speed. You do not è need to have already driven a snowmobile, to be the driver è it is enough to be at least 18 years old.

Let yourself be transported by a snowmobile piloted by an experienced guide to a typical cabin in Val di Fassa, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Dolomites in Trentino.

Depending on your needs, lunch can start at 12:00 or 1:30 pm. The start of the snowmobile excursion is then at 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. in Campitello di Fassa, where a guide will be waiting for you and will lead you to the hut by snowmobile along the snowy trails (about 20 min).

The lodge is located in Val Duron, one of the four Ladin valleys in the Fassa Valley ski area, nestled among the Dolomite rocks of Sasso Piatto and Catinaccio (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

You can choose from two different options (Drinks not included):
- Single Dish: one dish from a first or second course chosen from the menu and dessert.
- Full Menu: an appetizer, a single dish between first or second course chosen from the menu and dessert.

Among the specialties of the lodge you can choose first courses such as tagliatelle with venison ragout or porcini mushrooms, the trio of dumplings (spinach speck and cheese). Otherwise we recommend polenta prepared on a wood-burning stove as in the old days and accompanied by rabbit or other condiments such as melted cheese, goulash or mushrooms.

There is a reduced menu for children up to 6 years old.

For the return, the guide will take you back to the meeting point. In case of a high turnout, the table must be cleared at 1:30 pm (for 12:00 reservation) or 3:00 pm (for 1:30 reservation). The return time will be decided by the facility.

The Rifugio Faloria è is located on the summit of the mountain of the same name, in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the beautiful Belluno Dolomites, in Piedmont.

The refuge's cuisine offers traditional and refined dishes, perfect for enjoying a moment with friends. You can enjoy typical dishes either in the dining room or on the terrace: both locations offer a beautiful view of the Ampezzo basin.

The menù offered by the establishment are three. For each course it will be possible to choose the dish directly on site from the proposals on the menuù.

To reach the refuge you can use the Faloria cable car that from the center of Cortina will take youà to the top in 10 minutes.

The Tschötsch Alm lodge offers you the choice of lunch or brunch in the beautiful mountain setting of the Alpe di Siusi, with a 360° view of the Dolomites and its peaks.

Hospitality and tradition only the key values of the establishment, which è ready to welcome you and let you taste dishes prepared with local ingredients and a lot of passion.

The lodge can be reached on foot, via several trails accessible both in winter and summer. The fastest path is the one that starts at the Compatsch and takes at least 40 minutes of walking.

The menù for lunch offers two choices plus the children menù. It is possible to request variations of dishes from the facility, also on site.

Menù 1:

• First course of your choice: Beet, apple and horseradish soup; Elderflower and tangerine risotto.
• Second course: Bullaccia beef cheek co homemade egg dumplings and roasted onions.

Menù 2:

• First course: Homemade ravioli, Alpine cheese fondue and pumpkin.
• Second course: Saddle of venison, tapered potato dumplings and red cabbage.
• Sweet: “Buchteln” (leavened pastry cakes) and vanilla sauce.

Menù children (3-12 years old):

• Tschötsch Alm burger with fries.
• Farmer's ice cream, it will be possible to choose the flavors on site.

Brunch also consists of a variety of local and homemade delicacies: homegrown meats and cheeses, eggs, jams and yoghurt, cakes and briochine.

The InAlto è refuge is located on Col Margherita in Val di Fassa, at 2514 m asl, and offers stunning panoramic views of the Dolomites, including Marmolada, Mount Pelmo, Mount Civetta and the Pale di San Martino.

The refuge è can be reached by the Col Margherita cable car that connects it to the San Pellegrino Pass, the duration of which è is about 5 minutes. È it is also possible to get there on foot thanks to the numerous paths of easy or medium difficulty that provide a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes of walking if there is no snow.

There are two menù proposed menus, to which you can add wine and beverage accompaniment, called A spasso con Marco.

The Rifugio Luigi Gorza is located on the border between Veneto and Trentino Alto-Adige, in the resort of Arabba, in the heart of the Dolomites. It offers spectacular views of the Marmolada, considered the Queen of the Dolomites, and the Sella Massif thanks to its panoramic terrace.

The modern, almost entirely glass structure allows you to enjoy a break from winter sports or summer walks without giving up admiring the beautiful panorama. The particular, the lodge is spread over two floors: on the ground floor there è the self-service, while on the second floor the restaurant with the menù a la carte.

The proposed experience includes lunch at the upstairs restaurant, including cover charge and excluding drinks. There are 4 menù to choose from.
