1. Boat rides on Lake Garda

Just a few kilometers from Brescia on Lake Garda, several boat tours are available to visit points of interest such as Garda Island, the Sirmione Peninsula, and Baia Verde.

Trips depart from Sirmione, Peschiera or Desenzano del Garda, about 40 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train from Brescia. Experiences may include a sunset aperitif or a light lunch on board, usually pasta-based.

Boat tours range in length from 25 minutes to a full day, with prices starting at 10€ per person

2. Wine tasting in Franciacorta

Franciacorta can be reached by car or by train using the Brescia - Iseo - Edolo railway line, with trains leaving every 50 minutes.

Here you can opt for a wine tasting at one of the historic wineries, which you will have the opportunity to visit to learn about Franciacorta's production methods.

Franciacorta is also famous for its medieval castles, such as Bornato Castle, open daily from March to November for guided tours and tastings. Tour prices start at €20 per person.

Tasting experiences can include a picnic or a lunch of typical Lombard products, such as the famous Risotto al Franciacorta. Prices range from 20€ to 75€ per person

3. Camonica Valley

The Camonica Valley is known for its charming villages and the famous rock carvings of Naquane, in the National Park of Rock Carvings. The Park is open daily from 8:30 a.m. and admission costs €6 for adults.

Along the Valley you can also explore the Adamello and Stelvio Parks, with more than 1,500 km of hiking trails suitable for hikers. In summer you can go hiking, pay a visit to the waterfalls of the Davine stream or have a wine tasting at a historic winery.

During winter, on the other hand, you can take a snowmobile ride in Montecampione, with prices starting at 65€ per person

4. Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera

The Vittoriale degli Italiani, Gabriele d'Annunzio 's home in Gardone Riviera, is a nine-hectare monumental complex.

Admission prices start at €12 per person and the visit lasts at least an hour, with attractions such as the monumental park, D'Annunzio's house and the mausoleum with his tomb. The Vittoriale is open daily from 09:00 to 20:00.

Gardone Riviera can be reached in about an hour by bus from the Brescia bus station using line R202-1 to Gargnano, with departures every 30 minutes

5. Walk with alpacas at Lake Iseo

Pisogne, on the northern part of Lake Iseo, is about a 45-minute drive from Brescia. Here, you can take an approximately 2-hour alpaca walk through the forests of Val Camonica overlooking the Lake.

The price starts at 20€ per person and you can decide to walk with or without alpacas. The walk is followed by a lunch or dinner with a tasting menu at the farm.

The walk is available daily, from 09:30 to 16:00. To participate in the hike, sportswear is recommended, with long pants and comfortable boots

6. Picnic in the vineyard on the Moraine Hills

In Pisogne you can also opt for a picnic in the Moraine Hills.

The experience begins with a visit to the winery to discover the history of the winery and the production processes of the renowned Mantuan wines. It is followed by a picnic in the vineyard prepared by the Chef of Relais "La Casina," with three courses paired with a bottle of wine for every 2 people.

The price starts from 35€ per person and, depending on the option you choose, you can also taste selected wines from the Garda or Colli line before the picnic

7. Gnome Forest

The Gnome Forest is located in Zone, about an hour's drive from Brescia, and is known for its trail of wooden sculptures created by local artist "Rosso."

Along the path, you can meet legendary creatures and stop for a picnic in the tranquility of the woods. Children will also enjoy the village playground.

The Gnome Forest is open starting June 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a price of 10€ per person during the week and 11€ per person on holidays. It has parking and offers a trail suitable for adults and children and accessible with strollers or wheelchairs

8. Horseback riding on Lake Garda

This horseback ride starts in Toscolano Maderno, west of Lake Garda, and is ideal for beginners, with routes through countryside and woods near the lake.

The one-hour hike covers about 5/6 km around Gaino, while the two-hour hike covers about 12 km between Gargnano and Toscolano, both offering panoramic views of Brescian Garda.

With prices starting at €40 per person, the tour can include a lunch or dinner with a tasting menu based on seasonal and local ingredients, before or after the walk.

Toscolano is a 30-minute drive from Brescia but can also be reached by bus with the S-link 202 line, which leaves every 30 minutes from the bus station

9. The train of flavors from Iseo

On the train of flavors you can explore Franciacorta, Lake Iseo and the Camonica Valley in an original way, with itineraries that include stops to participate in guided tours of the area's historic sites.

Starting from €75 per person, every Saturday, Sunday and on holidays you will admire breathtaking views and be able to taste wines and typical products, directly on board the orange train.

Iseo is a 30-minute drive from Brescia or a 40-minute train ride on the Brescia - Iseo - Edolo train line. The train leaves Iseo station at 09:15 and each itinerary lasts a full day, with return to the station scheduled between 17:00 and 18:00

10. Manerba Rock

The Rocca di Manerba is located on Lake Garda and is a medieval stronghold set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the lake.

By following a scenic path, you can reach the remains of the medieval castle, from which you can look out over the Lake and see archaeological excavations showing Mesolithic human settlements.

The Rocca is easily reached from the center of Garda, an hour's drive from Brescia, by following the directions given near the Church of San Bernardo

11. Brescia Castle

Brescia Castle, located on Cidneo Hill, is the symbol of the city and is easily accessible on foot in about 20 minutes from the center of Brescia.

The castle consists of a central tower, the Prisoners' Tower, several fortifications, and the Mirabella Tower, which was once part of the church of Santo Stefano in Arce, demolished in the 16th century.

Inside the castle you can visit the Museo del Risorgimento Leonessa d'Italia and the Museo delle Armi "Luigi Marzoli," with more than 100 artifacts and a large collection of ancient weapons. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., admission costs €12 per person
