1. Amusement parks: from Gardaland to Caneva

Lake Garda offers numerous amusement parks to try. Gardaland, Italy's largest, is home to attractions suitable for all ages and also has a themed aquarium where you can explore the marine world via an ocean tunnel.

Gardaland is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an admission price of €39 for children and €44 for adults. You can add a visit to Gardaland Sea Aquarium for an additional 6€ per person.

For those who love water, Caneva Aquapark is perfect with its slides, while Movieland offers attractions inspired by famous movies. Finally, just a short walk from Gardone Riviera, at Rimbalzello Adventure Park you can enjoy several tree-hanging courses with Tibetan bridges, zip lines and lianas, suitable for adults and children.

How to get to Gardaland: Gardaland is just 2 km from Peschiera del Garda station with free shuttle buses every 30 minutes. The other parks, however, are just a few minutes' drive from Peschiera del Garda

2. Boat excursion on Lake Garda

With departures from Sirmione, Peschiera and Desenzano del Garda, you can opt for a boat tour on the Lake.

Boat tours vary in duration, from 25 minutes to a full day, and prices start at 10€ per person. The tour can include an aperitif or lunch on board.

From Brescia or Bergamo: You can reach Lower Garda in about 45 minutes by car or by using the regional train line from Brescia to Verona. The ticket price is about 5€ per person.

From Milan: One can reach Basso Garda in about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. Alternatively, one can take a direct train from Milan to Peschiera del Garda. The ticket price is about 10€ per person

3. Bike or e-bike tour on Lake Garda

A bike tour around the Lake will take you along routes that include Lower Garda stops such as Peschiera, Sirmione, Malcesine, and Limone sul Garda. Alternatively, you can opt for a bike tour with visits to wineries and small villages along the shore.

In Upper Garda, however, you can take the famous Ponale Trail, with a length of about 5.5 kilometers. The trail is also suitable for children and is ideal to do by renting an e-bike, at a price starting at €40 per person

4. Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera

The Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera is the historic home of Gabriele d'Annunzio and contains many artifacts from his life and his mausoleum.

The complex also includes museums theaters, such as the open-air Parlaggio Theater. The Vittoriale is open daily, from 09:00 to 20:00, with an admission price for children between €10 and €14 per person.

The complex is a 10-minute walk from the center of Gardone Riviera. You can reach the Vittoriale from Salò or Brescia using bus line S202-1, with departures every 30 minutes

5. Scaliger Castle of Sirmione

Sirmione's landmark Scaliger Castle is known for its towers and crenellated walls. Inside, you can explore the courtyard, walkways and dockyard, or climb the tower for a splendid view of Lake Garda.

Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with reduced hours on Sundays, the price of admission is 6€ for adults and 2€ for children.

The castle is located at the entrance to the historic center of Sirmione, easily accessible on foot

6. Day at the beach by the lake

You can choose to spend a day at the beach by the Lake. Cola Beach in Limone sul Garda is prized for its clear waters, while Rimbalzello Beach in Salò offers many activities suitable for children, from beach volleyball to diving.

Another renowned beach is Lido delle Bionde in Sirmione, located among the ruins of the Roman Villa, with the possibility of renting canoes for a fun excursion on the Lake

7. Toscolano Maderno Paper Museum

The Paper Museum in Toscolano Maderno, in the Valley of the Paper Mills, offers a journey into the world of paper, from its ancient craft production to its industrialization.

Inside the museum, which is divided into two sections, there are educational tours and workshops for children. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from March to October. The price is €7 for adults and €5 for children.

You can reach the museum by using the tourist train from Maderno during the summer months or by car, which you can park for free in front of the museum

8. Sigurtà Garden Park

Sigurtà Garden Park, in Valeggio sul Mincio, covers 600,000 square meters and includes 18 small lakes and 1 kilometer of roses, with breathtaking views of the Lake.

The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and you can explore the park on foot, by bicycle or by taking the little tourist train, which runs from the deer valley to the labyrinth. The price of admission ranges from 10 € for children to 18 € for adults.

The park is easily accessible by car and can also be reached on foot from the center of Valeggio sul Mincio. There are also refreshment stations inside the park where snacks, drinks and light meals can be enjoyed

9. Walk with llamas and alpacas in the Moraine Hills

The llama and alpaca hike in the Moraine Hills is an approximately one-hour walk along a 4-kilometer route. You will walk on trails, dirt roads and low-traffic sections, passing through forests, meadows and cultivated fields.

The route touches stops such as Castiglione delle Stiviere, Lonato del Garda and Solferino. The price is €20 for adults and €10 for children, and the hike is available every weekend, at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m

10. Playground theme park

Giocabosco is a children's park nestled in an oak forest and inhabited by gnomes and fairies who teach young children the importance of nature. Children can participate in guided hikes, creative workshops and outdoor games.

Opening hours vary depending on the season and the ticket price is 14€ for adults, 10€ for children and free for toddlers under 2 years old.

Giocabosco is located in Gavardo, in the province of Brescia, and is easily accessible by car, which can be parked on site free of charge

11. Tower of San Martino della Battaglia

The Tower of San Martino della Battaglia, near Desenzano del Garda, is a 64-meter-high historical monument of the Italian Risorgimento with interiors rich in historical frescoes.

You can decide to visit the tower and the Ossuary, which holds the remains of thousands of soldiers, or the museum with numerous artifacts. The surrounding park is perfect for a picnic, and there are wineries nearby for tasting local wines.

The complex is open daily from 09:00 to 19:00. The ticket price is 7€ for adults and 5€ for children, including the museum. You can also visit the Ossuary for free

12. Visit to Varone Falls

Varone Falls, a short distance from Riva del Garda, is located within a nature park open daily from 09:00 to 19:00.

The route through the park, which includes visits to the Lower and Upper Cave, offers views and a huge botanical garden. The price of admission is 6€ for adults, with reduced rates for families

13. Jungle park in San Zeno

San Zeno 's Jungle Adventure Park is a huge amusement park near Mount Baldo. Here you can challenge yourself on obstacle courses of different difficulty levels, divided by color.

For the little ones, you can follow suitable trails or hang out in safe and fun play areas. In addition, the large picnic area will allow you to relax and enjoy the view.

Located a short distance from Lake Garda, the park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from 8€ to 23€ per person, depending on the route chosen
