1. Doing a winter sport

Madesimo offers multiple experiences in the winter season. You can ski in the different lifts, starting November 24, or for the more experienced, to free ride.

Also, for those who don't ski, we recommend fatbiking, ice skating at the Madesimo Sports Center, from 8€ per person.

Finally, for the little ones, you can have fun at the Baby Park, perfect for skiing, snowboarding and bobsled, raft and toboggan rides. The entrance fee starts at 12€ per person and there is a refreshment stand, adjacent.

2. Strolling through the center of Madesimo

In this small town, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the historic center, savoring the Madesimo cake, with buckwheat and blueberries, a real treat.

In addition, you can play with a giant chessboard, in Bertacchi Square, in the center of the village, freely and for free.

4. Taking a horseback ride

In Madesimo, during the summertime, you can take a horseback ride in the woods of Valchiavenna starting from Alpe Motta, in Madesimo. During the experience you will make a stop at Lago Azzurro.

In contrast, in winter, we recommend horseback riding by the river in Valchiavenna for 1 hour, or, you can opt for a 3-hour experience.

5. Going snowshoeing under the stars

During the summer season, starting in June, you can explore and venture for the SplugaPark, in Campodolcino, 15 minutes from Madesimo.

7. Visiting Lake Montespluga

9. Seeing the waterfall of the Febbraro Valley

The waterfall is located 7km from the center of Madesimo. With a scenic trek through the mountains, you can reach the Borghetto waterfall in 2 hours.

The trail has a medium difficulty and runs along the Febbraro stream. Along the trail there are no shelters or accommodations, so you must make arrangements with packed lunch.        

In the winter season, we recommend that experienced climbers try the waterfall climb. The duration è of about 3 hours.
