1. Dinner at the lodge

We recommend a dinner in a mountain hut at the foot of the Pale di San Martino Mountains, to admire the charm of the Dolomites.

The experience includes the dinner and the transportation by snowmobile lasting about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the lodge, you can enjoy a menù which includes: appetizer, first or second course of your choice, and dessert.

The cost starts from 90€ per person and includes the descent to the valley, which will take place by gondola.

2. Skiing in San Martino di Castrozza

San Martino di Castrozza is part of the ski area of Passo Rolle

This ski area, in addition to including several kilometers of slopes, is home to the Nasse Park, an amusement park suitable for the youngest guests. Here, you can rent inflatables and toboggans from 4€ per hour.

In contrast, the cost of the skipass, for this winter season, starts from 61€ per person.

3. Events in San Martino di Castrozza

In San Martino di Castrozza, we suggest that you visit the Christmas markets in Siror and, on December 7, participate in the parade of Krampus, devil-portraying creatures, typical of Trentino.

In addition, during the month of September, we recommend that you participate in the "Desmontegada" that is, the end-of-summer festival. The program includes a parade of baby goats, folk dances, concerts and activities for children.

Finally, in early September you can participate in the Dumpling Festival: two days dedicated to tasting dumplings of all kinds and participating in workshops to discover all the recipes.

4. Reaching La Malga Cess

During the day, we recommend a walk of about 40 minutes from the town center to The Malga Ces, a family-owned restaurant that has been in business since 1942.

The kitchen offers dishes prepared with local products and è both lunch and dinner are possible. The set menu costs 55€ per person and includes appetizer or first course of your choice, main course and dessert.

The hut is located next to the ski slopes, but è can also be reached by car. In addition, it offers the possibility of overnight stay.

5. Day spa

In San Martino di Castrozza, we suggest you relax at the wellness area of the Hotel Brunet. The property offers wellness path packages, as well as customized experiences.

We also recommend QC Terme Dolomiti, located about 1 hour away from San Martino di Castrozza. The facility allows you to choose from different types of admission: daily, "escape" 5 hours or evening.

The cost of admission starts from 52 € per person.

6. Having fun at the Adventure Park

During the summer period, we suggest you venture along the trails of Agility Forest in San Martino di Castrozza, an’activityà also ideal for families.

The facility offers several courses, suitable for both children and adults, including the most adrenaline-pumping one: the Jumping course, with a jump into the void from a height of 17 meters.

The cost of the ticket starts from 15€ per person, with the possibility of purchasing packages of admissions.

7. Walk the cheese road

In the Dolomites, you can take the Strada Dei Formaggi, an itinerary through mountain huts, alpine pastures and dairies. You will have the’opportunity to taste the typical Puzzone di Moena or the delicious Cuor di Fassa.

In San Martino di Castrozza, we recommend you try Tosèla, a fresh cheese typical of these valleys, produced by the Caseificio di Primiero.

The dairy offers a’unique experience: a guided carriage tour, which includes a visit to the barn and a cheese tasting accompanied by crafted beer, from 30€ per person.

8. Snowshoeing in Val Venegia

The winter snowshoe hike from Val Venegia to Baita Segantini runs at the foot of the Pale di San Martino and is of medium difficulty.

.

Along the route, which has a duration of about 2 hours, you will encounter Malga Venegia and Malga Venegiota, ideal for a short scenic stop.

On the other hand, for the more experienced we suggest a path loop of about 6 hours, starting from the parking lot for Malga Juribello.

9. Visit the village of Mezzano

Mezzano, located in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige, è one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, known for its traditional architecture.

In fact, we recommend strolling through the narrow streets and admiring the Cataste&Canzei art installations, made of wooden stacks that decorate the various corners of the village.

Finally, for an adrenaline experience, we suggest you cross the Tibetan Bridge in Val di Riva, suspended almost 30 meters high.
