The beach of Cala d'Ambra è quite wide, with about 600m in length and can accommodate up to about 1,000 people.

There are several facilities on site, including bar and restaurants, which also offer rental of sunbeds, umbrellas and canoes.
2. How to get there
To reach Cala d'Ambra by land by car è simply head toward San Teodoro and then take Via Cala D'Ambra which will lead directly to the parking lot.
If you prefer to move on foot, from the center of San Teodoro you can walk along the pedestrian walkway that runs along Via Cala D'Ambra and you will arrive at the beach in about 15 minutes.
Alternatively, è there is a local transportation service called San Teodoro Express to connect San Teodoro to the main beaches in the area, including Cala D'Ambra.
The beach è also easily accessible via sea, thanks to the possibility of arriving by small private or chartered boats.
3. Tips
The beach è quite large and because of that there isn't a problem of overcrowding, but during the high season we still recommend arriving in the first half of the morning in order to be able to choose the best place in the free beach and also in the parking lot.
The seabed è mainly rocky, so we suggest the appropriate shoes for those who do not want to feel discomfort entering the water.
Algae and poseidonia are also often present on the beach, covering the shoreline.
4. Activities in the area
Directly on the beach è it is possible to rent kayaks and canoes for those who would like to practice some water sports.
Alternatively, we recommend that you explore the area by sea, for example, coming up to the'Protected Marine Area of Tavolara - Capo Coda Cavallo viaorganized boat excursions.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for activities to do on land, we recommend a trekking on Mount Nieddu or a horseback ride in Budoni.
During your vacation, we also recommend you visit other beaches in the area such as La Cinta, Lu Impostu, Cala Girgolu, Cala brandinchi, and many others.
