Wine tastings in Montepulciano: the top 4

The visit to the Historic Cellars of Montepulciano and tasting, is a unique experience. To accompany the wines, the tasting includes a small board of typical products.

The tour begins with a guided tour of the winery, where you will be told all about the history of the owner family and the historic winery.

Once the guided tour of the cellars is over, the tasting begins, accompanied by a small cutting board of typical products.

Tasting 6 wines:

• 1 DOC Rosso di Montepulciano
• 2 types of DOCG: nobile classico and nobile selezione
• 2 IGP from red grapes, one of which is a Bordeaux blend
• 1 IGT in rotation between Chianti; Rosato; Spumante Brut

(depending on product availability and season, there may be variations).

Clothing appropriate for the low temperatures from the winery is recommended.

Wines and oil

Visit to the production facilities, where fermentation takes place, the barrique cellar with large Slavonian oak barrels and French oak barriques and the glass storage warehouse. You will taste, guided by a sommelier, the highly prized Extra Virgin d’Olive Oil, 5 wines from the winery plus two "defected" wines.

Spilling from Vasca, cask and barrique

You'll visit the winery, explore the production areas and taste a glass of wines tapped directly from steel tanks, Slavonian wood barrels and French wood barriques. Guided by a sommelier you will compare these glasses with the wines being tasted to learn to recognize the differences: a’highly instructive opportunity to experience with the producer in person.

Picnic in the Vineyard in Val d'Orcia in Montepulciano is a unique experience that will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside while enjoying local delicacies overlooking Montepulciano.

The Picnic in the Vineyard includes a basket for two with stuffed Tuscan focaccia, a typical traditional dessert, a bottle of red wine selection "Triacca Santavenere Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG" or "Poderuccio DOCG" (alternatively the white "San Bartolomeo Toscana IGT").

Water, saucers and small glasses are included in the basket, while on arrival at the estate you will be given glass goblets, corkscrew and knife.

Lunch among the vineyards and wine tasting in San Gimignano is a very romantic experience in Tuscany. It is also available for dinner and includes a walk through the vineyards, during which you will be shown the technique of harvesting grapes. Afterwards you will be given a lesson on wine, from winemaking techniques to how to preserve a vineyard.

This will be followed by a tasting of wines and typical Tuscan products among the rows of the estate vineyard, with lunch or dinner served. The experience consists of a vertical tasting of 15 Tuscan products.

Lunch or dinner will be accompanied by the tasting and the following courses:

• Aperitivo with typical Tuscan cold cuts and cheeses and bruschetta.
• Tuscan Ribollita or Lasagna with truffles
• Roasted meat with side dish
• Cantuccini with Dessert Wine or Vanilla Ice Cream with Balsamic.

Available upon request are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu.

For the Wine Tasting in Colle Val d'Elsa you will have a choice of different packages, which include a visit to the winery:

VISIT TO THE FARM tasting the products of the estate: a walk through the village during which we will tell you about the history of the estate and the agricultural productions. You will visit the winery and the oil mill and then taste the estate's products.

LIGHT LUNCH in the FARM tasting the wines of the Estate: walk in the village during which we will tell you about the agricultural productions, and then have lunch on the veranda with the Sommelier who will guide you in the food/wine pairing.

TAGLIERE AND TASTING with the wines of the Estate: walk in the village during which we will tell you about the agricultural productions. Followed by the tasting of the products such as wine and oil together with the sommelier, accompanied by a nice board of cold cuts, cheeses and crostini, to finish cantucci and vinsanto.

The vineyard picnic tour in Colle Val d'Elsa consists of spending a half-day on the farm where you will discover the history of a real Tuscan farm and its products.

Accompanied by our experienced staff, you will visit the winery and the oil mill. At the end of the visit you will taste the farm's products in the open air during the friendly picnic: homemade stuffed focaccia, a delicious lasagna, homemade dessert, water and wine.

We will provide all the disposable supplies for the picnic on the lawn. In case of bad weather no problem: it can be done on the veranda!
